Who Tells the Story? // PHANTOMS OF THE SIERRA MADRE

After the screening of PHANTOMS OF THE SIERRA MADRE on Tuesday, 27.08.24, Minotenk invites you to a discussion about who can truly tell the story of whom in 2024.

Three men set out on a journey to find a lost Apache tribe in Mexico but end up in a completely different place than they had planned. What initially appears to be an eccentric road movie evolves into a deconstruction of the white explorer. The result is that both Lars and director Håvard must reassess the film and their roles as cultural outsiders in their own project.
